Industries such as dairy and agriculture generate millions of tonnes of waste annually. This poses huge environmental impact and demands sustainable solutions. To solve this problem, I’m using engineered E. coli strains to valorize dairy waste into high value oleochemicals such as fatty acid and polyhydroxyalkanoates (bioplastic). I’m using bench top bioreactors and developing bioprocess optimization strategies to increase titer, rate and yield.

Apart from research, I like to read sometimes and play video games. I’m also developing my love for cooking and drone photo/videography.
